Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

AStar Homecare Services Limited is committed to ensuring that its staff and any workers it supplies (directly or indirectly) are not subject to behavior or threats that may amount to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and similar human rights abuses. We are dedicated to upholding ethical standards and complying with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our Business

AStar Homecare Services Limited delivers care and support to people in their own homes.

Our Policies

Our Modern Slavery Policy, along with our Social Responsibility, Anti-Bribery, and Whistle-blowing policies, reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

Our Processes for Managing Risk

In assessing the risk of modern slavery, we:

Identify and assess potential risk areas when considering new suppliers and regularly review existing supply chains.
Review the potential for risk at regular intervals, including supplier re-audits or spot checks.
Protect whistle-blowers.
While we have not identified any significant risks of modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking in our supply chain, we remain vigilant and proactive in addressing potential issues.

To maintain awareness and understanding of modern slavery and human trafficking risks, our Modern Slavery Policy is included in our Employee Handbook. We conduct regular training sessions as part of our induction program to ensure all staff members are informed and equipped to identify and report any concerns.

Our Commitment

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes AStar Homecare Services Limited’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2018. We remain committed to continuously improving our practices and collaborating with stakeholders to combat modern slavery and human trafficking.
